Lets review some interesting facts surrounding this race.. It's September 17th and its 40 degrees out. It's the last New Hampshire race on TNN. It's the first and only time using restrictor plates at New Hampshire. It's only the 6th time in history one driver has led all the laps, and only the second time in history on a superspeedway. It's the first return since the stuck throttles that killed Adam Petty and Kenny Irwin in identical crashes. It's two weeks since Bobby Labonte suffered a stuck throttle at Darlington. The cars have a high pitched whine normally heard at Daytona and Talladega. There are talks of completing the race with one pit stop. There is virtually no left side tire wear. Finally, on lap 59, Bobby Hamilton runs a woman over in the garage area. This is one of the more unique races in history. Enjoy!

Feb 21, 2012 - Holy shit, all that is.....strange, for lack of a better term.

de31168 Says:

Feb 21, 2012 - Skip to 41:18 to see the woman get knocked down.

kornnut43 Says:

Feb 21, 2012 - Whoa! I hadn't seen Bobby Hamilton running that woman over... I must have dozed off during this race. hahahAlso, I was wondering if you had the 1999 running of this race?

de31168 Says:

Feb 21, 2012 - Joe Nemechek's first career win. I don't think that I do unfortunately.

DieKolkrabe Says:

Feb 21, 2012 - I asked this race a few days back, I didn't think you'd upload it, thanks :)

de31168 Says:

Feb 21, 2012 - No problem. It was easy to find and I was going to eventually.

Pabig93 Says:

Feb 21, 2012 - Could they drive this track flatout with the plates?

de31168 Says:

Feb 21, 2012 - No.

NascarNixon Says:

Feb 21, 2012 - Still blows my mind, Burton led every lap. You'd have thought the cautions who have resulted in at least one person staying out and leading.

ajcrdstr24 Says:

Feb 21, 2012 - - Funny how they just ignore it and keep on talking. Maybe they didn't see it.

UsonianAC Says:

Feb 22, 2012 - The race you mentioned where Bobby Labonte suffered a stuck throttle (2000 Pepsi Southern 500 at Darlington) was, believe it or not, won by Bobby Labonte!

DieKolkrabe Says:

Feb 22, 2012 - There's a bit of discrepancy over if he did or not, NASCAR has it listed as 1 lead change and 300 laps led, other sites have it as 0 lead changes and 300 laps led

de31168 Says:

Feb 22, 2012 - Because NASCAR considers the driver on the pole to be the leader of lap 0 or the race start, so technically since Burton started second, he had to pass the pole sitter or lead car in order to "take" the lead, however he did it between lap 0 and lap 1 so thats where the lead change comes, even though he led every lap after that point. It's confusing at first but if you think about it, it does make sense.

de31168 Says:

Feb 22, 2012 - Sorry I should have been more specific, he had a stuck throttle in practice and slammed the turn 3 wall, then started 43rd in a backup car and won the race.

gadgefan48 Says:

Feb 22, 2012 - That restart with Earnhardt trying to get his lap back with 45 to go was just insane!

DieKolkrabe Says:

Feb 22, 2012 - It does when you think about it, but to the casual fan it's odd. Racing-reference has it IIRC as 0 lead changes.Still think NASCAR should keep it like that, but explain it better.

folzybear15 Says:

Feb 22, 2012 - I remember this race, a lot of talk on the restrictor plates and everything, I thought today and then it was the right choice, after everything that had happened, its great that they have the kill switch now, but it shouldn't have come to that to make it happen

NAVGFan Says:

Mar 22, 2012 - I have this race on tape but it started at Lap 30 so I'm glad you posted the whole thing.

mlj21299 Says:

Apr 3, 2012 - I think Bobby Labonte would of won that if the caution never went out.

DieKolkrabe Says:

May 14, 2012 - Modifeds still use the plates and (IMO) it's the right choice, they have amazing racing every time.

Anthony2001nascar Says:

May 24, 2012 - I wish Chad Little could have won a NASCAR Race Same thing with Mike Skinner I mean when Skinner was with Richard Childress since 1996 he has been better often but when Mike Skinner I mean he had a dominated season that I never believe this guy could have won a race in 1999 but I look at the stats of Mike Skinner in 1999 he had 5 Top5s 14 Top10 finishes Led 465 laps that season Average Finish 16.6 15 Lead Lap Finishes & as for Chad Little he was strong in 1998 except with 1 DNQ.
