Nice Northern pike caught on a live shiner. this was the first pike of 2012 it was 26 inches long and it was released. First time ice fishing in 2012 we had a flag up on the tip up but we were too late and the shiner was gone and there was like 50 feet of line out where it was like 5 feet deep so something stole it

Feb 14, 2012 - yeah we kinda just put a shiner on a ultralight pole with a treble hook and 4 lb test didnt really expect to catch any thing but that northern hit the shiner about a minute after we put it in the hole luckly no line break because we had no steel leader on that, because if anything bit we were expecting a bass
